CommunityInfo continues to pick up momentum and build partnerships with community leaders.
Last week, members of the Ci Team exhibited our unique product and talents at this year’s Annual Convention for the Association of Manitoba Municipalities.
We were able to meet and speak with a large number of community leaders who expressed their interest and appreciation for what we are doing.
It turns out, there’s a lot of communities and municipalities out there who are looking for websites that can put them better in touch with the members of their communities.
Because of our network of community-based social websites, and our ability to create professional websites for Municipalities which can be linked to the community sites, we are in a unique position to help Municipal Governments communicate online with their residents.
Earlier this month, CommunityInfo began working with the SDC/CDC of La Broquerie, providing them with a free website, as they qualify under our Non-Profit / Community Group status. Partnering with a groups such as these benefits us mutually, because they are in a great position to promote the use of the free community websites and encourage new users and activity for us, and they are also able to take advantage of all of the powerful tools and features that Ci provides.
Last week we also presented to a group of the directors of the Eastman Day Cares, and had an overwhelmingly positive response for our websites, and the free services we provide to organizations such as theirs. We’ll now be providing free websites for a dozen or more Day Cares in Southern Manitoba to get them connected with the moms and dads in their communities, as well as getting them more involved in the greater community on and off line.
Next up for Ci is a presentation at the Annual General Meeting for the CDEM, and broadening our reach with a booth at the Convention Tradeshow for the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities.
Stay over the next few weeks for 12 days of tips to build a better community.

CommunityInfo Seeks Ambassadors to Help Enhance Community Life
The self proclaimed ‘Community Development Heroes’ at CommunityInfo are once again living up to their titles.
In case you haven’t heard, CommunityInfo has officially launched our Community Ambassador program.
This is another big step for CommunityInfo and our commitment to bringing communities together in the best way we know how.
So what does this really mean you might be asking?
The answer is simple: We’re looking for your help and we want to share the profits with you.
If you become one of our Community Ambassadors, you will earn 30% of ALL the revenue (from websites, advertising, and promoting events and classifieds) on your community website.
All you have to do is spend a few minutes a week to keep your site active with events, classifieds and discussions.
We are also hoping that as an Ambassadors you can tap into your social networks and put us in touch with some non-profit organizations and groups in your community so that we can provide them with FREE professional websites that are integrated with the community site.
CommunityInfo is also unveiling our Community Affiliate and Community Partner Programs.
Affliates earn a 20% share of any business that they refer to CommunityInfo such as website subscriptions, advertisers, and people promoting events and boosting classified ads.
Partners are freelance web designers or web design firms who receive a significant revenue share for building custom websites for their clients on the CommunityInfo platform. Designers retain full ownership of their clients, and are free to charge their own prices for web design, plus they receive a majority share of the website subscription payments.
Find out more about the Community Ambassador, Affiliate, and Partner Programs by visiting CommunityInfo.net or contact us directly to find out how you can fill this role and help contribute to your community.

It's been a long exciting summer filled with tons of great community activity.
We saw the launch of Ci-Sites - the new website builder that gets businesses and community groups connected with their community websites.
We became a national story on CBC Newsworld and CBC.ca which led to hundreds of new community websites popping up across the country.
But perhaps most exciting of all, we held the CommunityInfo Great Big Users Contest.
During this 3 month long campaign businesses in communities in south-eastern Manitoba generously contributed to a prize package that ended up growing to more than $3000 in merchandise and gift certificates.
The contest ran from July 1 through September 30. And today we picked a winner!
Congratulations to Nadine H. from St. Adolphe Manitoba.
Contestants competed for entries into the draw by inviting their friends, family, and neighbours to join their community websites. They gained additional entries for posting new content on the community sites.
The Ci Team would like to thank the following businesses for their generous support and community service:
- DD Towing Ltd - Ile des Chenes
- Ile des Chenes Country Store - Ile des Chenes
- GDS Autobody - Niverville
- Cass Lynn Catering - Ile des Chenes
- Adventure Powerproducts - Ile des Chenes

A similar contest running in the Interlake in Manitoba was suspended, but we hope to get it back up and running soon, and host contests like this across Canada and the U.S. as well.
We’d like to thank all of the communities, businesses and especially the participants for making this event such a huge success.
